Abstract:In grinding process,it is important to monitor the dressing and grinding conditions.The grinding process is affected by many factors,such as the selection of the grinding wheel,the dressing condition and the grinding condition.In order to achieve the required result,the acoustic emission(AE)signal is applied to the monitoring of the above processes.The dressing process is monitored to produce a grinding wheel surface of constant quality.The tool life of the grinding wheel can be determined by monitoring the change of the amplitude of the AE signal.The contact between the grinding wheel and the workpiece can also be detected with the AE signal.
