Abstract:In this paper, magnetic Fe/Mn nanocomposites were synthesized for the removal of Pb2+ from solution. The adsorption capacity and the influence factors such as pH and temperature were analyzed. The results showed that the maximum adsorption capacity (Q0) of the sorbents towards Pb2+was 118.06 mg/L according to the Langmuir isotherms (298 K). The Pb2+ removal capacity of the adsorbents increased with the increase of pH (1.5-5) and temperature (303-323 K). In addition, the kinetic adsorption could be fitted by the pseudo-second-order model equation. At last, the thermodynamics of Pb2+ was studied at various temperature and the thermodynamic parameters were given which confirmed that the adsorption was endothermic reaction.
