为探索稀土元素Ce对5356铝合金组织性能的影响,本文采用气泡浮游法,通过添加不同成分微量的稀土元素Ce精炼制备出含Ce不同含量的5356铝合金,通过显微组织观察、室温拉伸试验、密度测试等方法研究了在5356铝合金基体中添加稀土元素Ce对其组织性能的影响.实验结果表明:合金的力学性能及密度随着Ce添加量的增加而得到改善;稀土元素Ce既能够提高合金的抗拉强度、断后伸长率及硬度等力学性能,又能够提高合金的致密度使得铸锭中的气孔或疏松减少;添加Ce质量分数为0.4%时,其力学性能改善效果最佳,抗拉强度达到245.8 MPa,屈服强度为101.24 MPa,断后伸长率增加至29.05%,其密度也达到最大,相对提高了0.67%.

Effect of Ce on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 5356 aluminum alloy |

Aiming at exploring the effect of rare earth element Ce on the microstructure and properties of 5356 aluminum alloy,bubble float method was used to smelt 5356 aluminum alloys with different content of rare earth element Ce. The effect of Ce addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 5356 aluminum alloy was studied by microstructure observations,tensile properties tests and alloy density measurements. The results indicated that mechanical properties of the aluminum alloy significantly improved and the alloy density increasedwith addition of Ce,which led to the reduction of blow hole and shrinkage porosity in ingot. The alloy with 0.4wt.% Ce has a tensile strength of 245.8 MPa,a yield strength of 101.24 MPa,and an elongation of 29.05%,indicating its best mechanical performance among the studied alloys. Compared with Ce-free alloy,the density of the alloy with 0.4wt.% Ce increased 0.67%.
